New Bf 109 Modells and Freddys cockpit ?!?
#1

Me and also some other users has mention this problem in the Me 109 threads, but sadly we get no answer or the mod creator just overlooked it between the dozens posts

Some of the new Modells causes the "no cockpit" bug, or have freddys cockpits but without the glowing reticle.

Also I have the graaphic bug in the E3 Cockpit, but I have not AHS installed :?: E1 cockpit works without problems..

I dont want to whine, I just want to create a thread were users with this problems maybe find an solution. The new 109s deserve this great cockpits

I agree.

IMHO

It is pointless to have many new aircraft, if many people do not work correctly.

However, it appreciates the efforts of modders

Indeed, the Bf-109 in all its versions, seems to be really damned.

All the main MODs on this plane in its final version, still problems, Freddys ultimates cockpit MODs, Hunins AHS MOS, at least for me K14, E1 and E3.
I have no other versions installed, because that will give me problems, and not worth installing.

However, other aircraft like the Fw-190, has a lot of MODs, and not a single known bug

The AHS code is integrated in the new Bf109, thus you will have the graphic issue in the E-3 even if don't have the AHS mod, simply install the E-3 without AHS integration.
As far as I know the E-1/B and E-3/B are without AHS.
For the Freddy ultimate cockpit simply copy the whole Bf-109E-7 folder in the new cockpits folder (Bf-109E-3, Bf-109E-3B, ecc) and overwrite the existing files.
That's all.

HunInTheSun is working on the next version of AllHolesSolved and Canonuk just released a fix for the E-1 and E-3s. All in good time, it will be fixed!

As for Freddy's pits in new 109s, most of them already include it. If not, it's not hard to copy the files and rename them for the new aircraft.

Try not to be too frustrated by conflicts and bugs. If the beta isn't working for you just remember that most mod sites wouldn't even publicly release a beta, they'd give them out only in private for testing and you'd never get to see new mods until final release.

The AHS bug is known. Hun in the Sun is working on v2.0

The new slot 109s are beta tests only and are not final releases until the modders say so. I'm assuming the AHS 2.0 will fix the only known remaining bug, canonuk fixed the other.

The Bf-109 is my favourite aircraft, hopefully once and for all, it will be finished with the problems that afflict

Some other users post this and for me it works fine !

Finally i have found a solution that might work with those who have a clean UI 1.1.1 as my case:

1. Re-install Freddys cockpits mod

2. Re install New 109Fs mod BUT DONT MOVE ANYTHING OF Cockpits directories, no need of them, just move aircraft directories>>>(at this point u will have wrong armorglass on F2 and no flyable F4)

3. Go to the MODS/Cockpits Bf109 Mod/3do/Cockpit/Bf-109F-2/ folder, find the file named hier and make a copy of it; rename the copy as f4pit, overwrite if exists.

4. Edit f4pit with notepad and find the section [Z_ArmorGlass1] and delete the word Hidden:

[Z_ArmorGlass1]
Mesh Z_ArmorGlass1
Parent _ROOT_
Hidden

I dont have UI 1.1.1,
My installation is a mix of mods, I do not know that it has in common with the UI.

Prefer not to touch anything. If I have learned something about the Bf-109 mods, is that if you change something in one place, something else will be ruined in another.

If there is no solution soon, I remove the two planes that give me problems

I also dont use the UI. Ive got a "bastard" Il2 with something in the mods folder, also a lot in the files folder, and everything worked great, also the new Griffon Spit
