What's your exact gripe?
well for me it is you make to many programs that are needed for one mod that i want and then i use the plane and it doesn't work or its corrupted[/quote]
Installing a first mod can seem and appear to be a very complicated process, especially if you are eager to have them work. They are indeed so tempting and exciting! It took me a few months to really get installing mods an easy thing to do. So no rush, take things slow and easy and start with something simple - like installing a smoke mod, a new cockpit, or a perhaps map ...
Once you are familiar with the process (which is really nothing more than copy/pasting files/folders to a correct location and possibly adding a few lines of text to a file with a text editor), then you can start on planes.
And if possible, make a copy of your game and practice installing mods on your copy. So if anything goes wrong or you get confused, then your game itself will not be affected.
Then install one mod at a time. Read instructions carefully, several times if need be, if they are not clear (since many modders are not native English speakers and writing understandable instructions for anything is a hard enough skill to master anyway), try another mod first. And if nothing works, then sleep on it and try again the next day.
Whatever you try, take your time and don't feel frustrated or gripe ... it took me 2 months to learn how to set up a mission in the FMB, and a few more months to learn how to install maps and then mods and planes (wasn't at it full time obviously).
Now I've learned to skin planes and make fully working maps ... all bit by bit.
You can do it too, certainly installing a mod, but take your time. Il-2 is a game that is definitely worth the effort.
