HSFX 4.0 Aircraft missing
#1

I've downloaded HSFX 4.0 via Torrent 3times, checked it with Hash Calc, but wether I install it to 1946m4.08 or 1946 UI 1.2, always the same few aircraft are unavailable. Il-2 says that several hier.him files cannot be found when I try to start a quick custom mission with this aircraft. The types are: Avia B-534, Fokker D.XXI, RE-2000 and SM-79.

Any suggestions?[/quote]

Howlin is right. The fact that all the same planes are failing... precisely the ones that came in 4.09m official patch release should have ringed you a bell "I forgot to patch to 4.09m"

"Installation Instructions for History Mod Version 4.0

1: Patch il2 Sturmovik 46 to Full 4.09m
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Detail : The History Mod version 4.0, requires an install of Il-2 Sturmovik 1946, plus Patches 4.08 and 4.09.
No other previous Mod Patches are needed. Version 4.0 includes all the Mods released from the beginning,
plus the new content for version 4.0.

Patch 4.09 - The IL-2 4.09 Patch is available at http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f...9861059397
"

So, do exactly this: IL2 DVD + 4.08m + 4.09m + HSFX 4.0 + HSFX 4.1

Very good point M8. I run into this about 5 to 6 times a day cant people just take the
time to READ.
The people that make all this { HSFX,AAA, } or whom ever spent a lot of time doing so.
When the instructions SAY install OVER 4.08m and 4.09m clean. How much more plan
can they state that FACT.
Then the next thing you have are people that want a WORK AROUND.
Oh you dont have to do it like that - I did it this way and it worked just fine.
Only thing they for got to say was when it goes to hell what do I do now. WHO helps

Nightjar Wrote:I've correctly installed up to 4.1. No Sabre or Fulmar and possibly more omissions. Tried to install my own Sabre, CTD at 60%. I'm using the latest SAS buttons BTW.
If it had been done correctly you would have those planes. Also no sas buttons or any thig else
is needed to get them to work. All comes in HSFX V 4.1 plus the small fix.

There is a small hotfix patch for HSFX at the 242 Squadron site- brings it to HSFX 4.11.
You should probably go back and try again from the beginning;
Start with a clean, unmodded install of 1946. Test.
Patch to 4.08. Test.
Patch to 4.09m (not the beta!). Test.
Download HSFX 4.0 using torrent- unzip to own folder. Install HSFX 4.0 (check the install path- should be to Il2 1946 folder). Run JSGME and enable hsfx historymod. Test.
Download 4.1 and run installer (check install path). Run JSGME again and re-enable historymod. Test.
Download and install patch to 4.11. Test.
Do not mix in or try any other mods, buttons files, new aircraft, or anything else until you know this is working.
Once you get this running OK we can talk about how to add other mods and such.
