I don't understand almost nothing about video games, I'm always attracted quite flight simulators, I had only heard of Combat Flight Simulator, but I think it was in 2005 when I came across IL2 Sturmovik in a department store , the price was only 5,95 € . Over time also by chance I acquired a copy of IL2 1946, initially I only installed skins, I don't knew was a mod, but in 2009 I decided to install UI1.1 from AAA.

Back in 1997-99 I was playing EAW, (European Air War), and Air Warrior III on-line with a bunch of friends. EAW was the top dog at the time and we (JG-26) enjoyed flying together and running on-line wars against other squads. As time progressed, squads started to fade and we began playing an on-line AI war. Then, in 1998 we began to hear rumors of two new games, IL-2 Sturmovik and B-17 II 'The Mighty Eighth'. Both promised a lot of new features and we thought we'd check them out. After much testing we went with IL-2 as we saw it to be a much better game than our alternative, B-17 II 'The Mighty Eighth'.
In 2001 we packed up our EAW CD's and dove head long into IL-2. It was a fantastic game but lacked much of the aircraft that we had grown to love in EAW. Then, in 2003, IL-2 Forgotten Battles was released and all was well in Mudville. Although it still lacked a lot of the planes we wanted, it had a much better damage, flight and graphics system then our old venerable EAW. After the patches, updates and expansion packs, IL-2 became a thing of beauty. Fast forward to 2007 and enter the wonderful world of AAA and we get all the functionality that we've always dreamed of.
LONG LIVE IL-2!!!!!
