just downloaded engine soud mod and game freezes at the loading aircraft screen..

Hi guys! when this happened to me,putting in a 'clean' conf.ini file fixed the problem.

change your sound setup to 44100khz this will fix it

Did you put those files in the MAIN IL-2 Folder?! Because they don't go there! They go in the folder called "Files" in the Main IL-2 Folder! That would be why you aren't getting any 6DOF.
The folder you put those files in is located in: [drive]:\Program Files\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\Files
Put these files:
AED23A24CF06FFE0
65A9E2D846D578F2
6EABC2640E2C18C4
61B3D5C8AF16E35E
95B1C616D7D23EA6
in that directory and you should be good to go...hopefully.
Read careful. This work to me now...
