there is nothing wrong with the skins, i used to get this problem PINK MESH we used call it. It could be caused by high graphics, user home pc host, or putting a skin in the game whilst you are playing. When i got these i new it was time to restart the game as my game would eventually crash. nothing to do with doddgy game though

I answered the same thing on a french forum, if lenght is twice much, the surface is 4 times much.
I've got 5GB with skins on my hard drive (with some 512*512), if the whole skins will be 2048*2048, they will use 20GB.
Quality is a thing but, the capacity is an other thing.
As far as I can recall the game won't recognise above 1024x1024, but if SoW ever see's light its reputed to have 2048x2048
I seem to recall seeing something a while back in the UBI p[aintschemes forum about a way to resize the skin... work it at 2048x2048, and then shrink it back with no loss of detail...
Hmmmm. Nobody get too excited, but i think whilst i was searching for some files and certain settings for a mod idea, i could have swore i saw something that dictated the Paintscheme size and other settings.
I'll check it out today and see if i was right or wrong. Don't get your hopes up though.
Anybody have a 2048x2048 skin handy? So i test it if i get some results?
Go into gimp or paint and just resize the skin! to get a 2012x2012 skin mate
