You mean where I got the real map to make this one?
If you go on the website
http://srtm.csi.cgiar.org/SELECTION/inputCoord.asp , you pick out the areas you want. Then you open the file (its a .tif) with an image program like irfanview. The image is 6000x6000pixels, and you must resize that file to 2784x2784 pixels to get the scale needed for map_h and map_t. It will give you the land masses in black and the ocean in gray. Then its just a matter of playing with tones in photoshop to get the colours needed.
Using the program that boomrang links to in a previous post (3DEM) you can open these tif files and it will give you SRTM elevation data, precise to 90m.
So actors.static is a problem...I will try that again tonight, maybe I didnt map the elevations properly.

Oh for Aleutians I used Hawaii.
I tried it with an empty actors.static and I still get the load.ini error.

map_h and map_T for Hawaii are 1600x800, which is what I used for Aleutians.
map_c is 4 times that size.
... something is wrong ... tried to comp/decomp default finsgulf and hawaii (without any changes) ... and FMB showed me the finger both times..... Grrrrrr!
...back to square one .... will post progress

I tried something else...
I copied all files from default Hawaii to my Aleutians folder...and I get the same result as you. So it has something to do with either the map_h or map_T I'm guessing. There must be something in the format that I am saving them to that isnt right.
