I search some infos about the different nationalities which used the G4:


Finland: NO G4 used.

According to these sites,there were only G2/G6/G8 and G14 provided to Finland for about 160 Messerschmitt.

Why not use K4 Engine cowling for G10?, technically was the same engine under (605D). So i think is more historically correct k4 than G2.

I know quite well 109 production line issues, and about G10/AS engine myth. G2 cowling is totally different shape than Erla cowling. Where do you gonna put Mg131?, As you know AS and D 109's, because larger supercharger Mg bulges were refined, so you have a totally different shape from G2. Thats what i meat.

Thinkk its better use K4/G10 original cowling for the right curved-outlined side, and make a new texture for the left squared-outlined side (as i can see on the shots).

I think Hun is very well aware that the sollution is not 100 % perfect.
But I very much appreciate it nonetheless.

It conveys the elegance and overall proportion of the Erla G-10 quite well.
I love it.

Only one question left - when will you release it?

Unfortunately,i cannot separate elements of the engine hood.I wish i could take a normal cowl for the right side then a flat one for the left,but it's not possible.I must either take an entire G10/K4 engine hood,or a G2 one.


BTW,let me explain for what reason i choose the G2 hood,which is indeed not totally similar to the real Erla hood.I'll do a comparison:


Me109-G10 Erla

Using the G2 hood:

Pro:
It provides a flat left panel.
It provides the correct harmonisation between the MG position and the compressor intake.(see the two screens below)

Contra:
The right panel is flat as well,while the real Erla hood had this side curved.
The MG furrows are a bit too tight.

Using the G10/K4 Hood:

Pro:
The MG furrows are all OK.
The right panel of the engine hood is correctly curved.

Contra:
The harmonisation between the MG position and the compressor intake is wrong (see screens below and compare with the two above).
The left panel is curved too,that is dramatically wrong concerning the Erla-built G10s.
The overall apparence of the hood obtained appears too banal/standard for such an exceptionnal aircraft.

most full cockpit server do not allow for mod usage anyway so its not much of an issue

Because most of those servers aren't using the CRT=2 so that those with different OS can still play. It's an unfair advantage like a lot of mods here. The best solution is to replace the 109Z. That would solve all.

Nice mods you have there dude.
I dream to have G-4 in IL-2 from a long time.Anyway,is it possible to add them like new planes?
Example:We'll have the G-2 model,and the G-4 too.I want to have the G-2 model as well.The same question is for the rest of the planes.
Pls make them being additional planes in the planeset,not to replace the other old ones.

Indeed it does not change the WL/FM/DM, BUT I was replying, in regards to this:

Which Mr LAL_RONE has a point with - with the change in rear-view. But in the scheme of things - its rather insignifigant when you consider the '51-D Mirror, or the Mk-IX Gyro sight.

Infact I think its a wonderful job and I cant wait for it to be released.

So... When are we getting our hands on THIS little Christmas Cracker?
