Very neat,

Two questions:
1. Have you managed to export the original QMB missions (to allow us to edit them)?

2. Are there any plans to increase the variety of anti-aircraft options? I would be happy to make AA variants for a number of the missions.

Suggested list:
- None
- Light
- Medium
- Heavy
- Battery
- Early
- Late

Battery = large caliber batteries with a minimum of medium caliber weapons (anti-bomber high FPS)
Early = Typical early war defenses, lots of DSHK and MG42 (could be merged with light)
Late = Late war defenses/1945-1946 weapons (could possibly be merged with medium or heavy)

Thanks for the good work

I can't load the Slovakia map. When i try to load an error message appears: "Wrong Target Selected".
This happens with every possible target, even "None". Is this an error on my side?

there were reports of problems with the new maps...if you had Lal_Rone's destruction mod installed.....(although it was only a beta too)

I love the destruction mod..... so I made a new folder in my il2 folder..... and have two copies of my filelist in there...one with the destruction mod disabled...and one not...with shortcuts to my desktop...it is easy for me to swap between them

haven't tried this new QMB mod yet...so i don't know if the problem you are having is related or not

Hey, after installation, (V.2.2 FIXED), my menus turned all to Russian!
I'm using Janesoft mod enabler and since I've uninstalled it, the menus turned back to English...
Any ideas?

Well i guess i solved my own problem by switching video mode from Open GL to Direct X . It might not be the ideal solution, but it worked for me . I was flying on the Slovakia map when suddenly the sky turned black and the ground blue. Switching to DirectX Cured my problems, i guess it is about time i upgraded my graphics card Smile

Quote:I have also found two other problems. The Kurland autumn online and New Guinea maps just say null and will not load. Iam not using the destruction mod Question

1. Is your 4.09 working correctly without mods?
2. Check your filelist to see if you have paths to mission files written correctly.
3. Check if missions are in correct folder, they should be in files/Missions/Quick
4. Description of you problem with Bessarabia indicate that you don't have 4.09
5. I can't make game not to load Kurland and New Guinea and to give me null error, so it seems that you are doing something wrong.
6. Destruction mod doesn't have any direct connection with QMB.

I'm not sure that this have anything with QMB but for changing languages in GUI you need to check your gui_ru.properties which is in files/i18n folder.

Added support for new (4.09) maps, B'n'Z option replaced with fully customizable advantage and disadvantage option.

Error is most likely on your side, check if you have 4.09 installed, check filelist entries and check if missions are in correct folder. It must be something of these.

1. I didn't edit original missions but i can find them if you want. But you can make missions for original maps from scratch if you want and put them in QMB same way as missions for other maps are added.

2. Making new AAA options is not that easy, I was not able to find elegant way to solve that problem. If AAA have skills it would be much easier. Now you can change AAA only with making more AAA empalcement, change their type or play with distance at which they will fire.

All of that is not very simple and would require rework of all template missions.

You also need to know that QMB is not hot stuff, there are maybe couple hundreds players interested in this mod and not all of them need more AAA options.

In fact it's easier for me to make additional missions templates with heavy AAA than to make changes in code.

Thank you,

I would really appreciate it if the original missions were distributed with the next version (or could otherwise be obtained).

As for the AAA: My idea was only to change their location and type. I was planning to redo a bunch of the missions to have different object templates (one for each of the options described above). It would be fairly easy to swap the AAA types using a text editor for a number of the maps and changing the location and number is fairly easy to do (using the FMB and then a text editor).

I recalled that the original Il-2 demo actually had three options for the AAA slider and I thought something like this would be good.

To Klemm,

I had the same problem. Make sure you put the "missions" folder into your modded IL2 main directory and not the "Files" folder. The readme doesn't make it very clear! Once you do that you'll be able to fly all of the available maps in 4.08 and if you have 4.09, all of them as well.

Gents, a little check of your readme's before posting them would go long way but thanks for the great work! Smile
