Making maps bigger
#1

Hey,

Just curious as to whether there's a trick to making maps bigger.

I'm using Net5Summer as my base-map for Battle of Britain , the size of which is 1984 x 1888. I wanted to make it bigger so increased it (can't remember the exact size, but both numbers were multiples of 32). For some reason it didn't load in FMB, so I was forced to resize it back to 1984 x 1888.

So, is there a trick I'm missing? Do I need to record the size of the map somewhere?

Did you change the size of all maps (T,H,R, etc)?

Yeah, I think I did - I made map_h and map_t smaller.

Hmm.. maybe I didn't change the ed_mXX maps.

I think I'll just test that Smile

Rough guide for map sizes:

map_c, 50m = 1 pixel, divisable by 32 with no remainder

en_01.tga: 100m = 1 pixel, divisable by 16 with no remainder

map_h.tga = map_t.tga = map_f.tga = en_02.tga: 200m = 1 pixel, all divisable by 8 with no remainder

en_03.tga: 400m = 1 pixel, divisable by 4 with no remainder
