I don't know if this was asked before... but is it possible to add a completely new country to this game?

I ask because I'd like to have the 'Escuadrilla Azul' of the Spanish Blue Division in a mod.

If you download the campaign 'white sun blue sky' (flying tigers) it comes witha completly new country titled 'none'.

I do not know why he called it 'none', instead of china or whatever.....but the important thing is that you get a new country in game called 'none'.

I'm completely useless at all this but if someone could see how he did this....we might be unto something here :roll:

None is a stock country that came with the game, I believe.

Adding new countries would be a GREAT thing, BTW, and not just to add expected new countries. You could add different versions of the same country to allow alternate default skins by theater, for example. You could make a frankenplane for Germany2 for example, leaving all the stock planes intact.

Hey Werwolf1944, this is what I did M8. I added (American Volunteer Group) AVG as a unit rep. in china and you can also add yours easy to single missins and campaign folders as follows.

1) in your Files folder (old wrapper) or Mod folder (if new wrapper used) find i18n folder and open. Look for

country_ru.properties =

note the last entry of mine (uv AVG) you must use any two letters to rep. your country or unit in the mission folder.

Example yours could be ea SBD save and exit.

2) Now go to your mission folder in the main game files,open single and add an EA folder, then add a SBD folder and any single mission you want in it also the type of background.tga you want. Save and exit to campaign folder.

3) open the folder and do the same as mission folder (add EA folder and SBD sub folder) in the SBD folder your campaigns go, and the EA folder holds the stuff the spices it up,
example like A)awards you can make an add your own
B) icon place in the proper one for the country
C) background
D) rank.properties these can be changed to proper ones also. DONE.

- is it possible to create new squadrons/groups names for new country

-ch Switzerland

but it does not work...

My version is 4.09beta. Is it due to this version ??? does your receipe only work in 4.05 ???

No I dont use 405. Its working my on 408 & 409 versions. Did you follow the example I posted M8.

Yes, I did exactly like you said (I know how to create the country folder, as I did the Italian campaign folder some years ago, with some friends...).
