Autopop - BETA v0.1.0

Ok canon, retested the way you did and I have no problems. Just occured to me : is the game crashing in FMB or extended FMB?

Extended FMB, but it's not a case of file size. I tested it with a tiny actors.static and it crashed

Well then it's weird because I did exactly what you did and map loaded ok. Maybe linking the relevant files (autopop inbuildings and final actors.static) here for testing?

OK, thanks. Delco's having a look too but the more the merrier - more chance of the problem being found.

Tested and no problems. Have you tried to use some standard actors.static with the channel map? Say use the actors from net1summer or something. If it still crashes then it's not an actors problem, maybe a problem with the other map files...

My channel map works with other actors.static files, just not the ones I generate myself using act.jar

Maybe I keep doing something wrong with it...

Could you send the actors.static that you created from my files so I can see if it works in my game. If it does, then it's definitely something about the way I'm using Act.jar

Please send to canonuk (at) hotmail.co.uk

Ok, tested - and it worked perfectly.

It's obviously something about how I'm making my actors.static file with Act.jar

Hmm....

Just so you know, got it sorted.

I extracted an existing working actors.static, renamed the 'out' files to 'in', except the outBuildings which I just replaced with the inBuildings from Autopop. It loaded fine, although I had all the bridges and landing waypoints from the actors.static I cannibalised.

Oh well, it didn't take long to delete those and now I've got quickly populated cities!

Many thanks to all those who helped!
