That was one thing that nagged us when we first started on this. We originally thought we were only going to make one map so we were going through concessions and compromises for the best time period to represent.

Had we only done one map, you would probably have it on your HD's by now, but since the Solomons was one of those places that constantly changed during the course of the war, we had to make an evolutionnary map set. So just to remind you all, we arent only going to give you the Slot, we are going to give 6 different versions of it!

That's part of what I'm enjoying so much with my BoB map. I have aerial photographs showing nice basic Luftwaffe airfields in 1940, becoming sprawling masses of taxiways, shelters and runways by 1943 Big Grin

Howdy folks!

I'm back from visiting my folks in Connecticut and spent the previous week moving my 800ft^2 downstairs into storage units a stationwagon full at a time (read: SLOWLY). Came back to find that instead of just a demo on my downstairs, they started roughing in the new plumbing. Problem is that this week was supposed to be an "evaluate the situation" week in the flowchart. Some plubling needs to be moved, now. Least they didn't pour the concrete to level the floor yet.

I'm trying to make a hole for my PC's temporary spot this evening, meanwhile, I'm on the laptop.

ROFLMAO...yes it's almost done.

With regard to your , I'll leave you with this:
- Skunkmeister started this thread on the 24th of November 2007.
- The rest of Team Pacific joined him in late Jan. 2008.
- We had no access to official map making tools; spent thousands of man-hours on historical research and construction; worked ridiculous hours during our spare time; had to solve numerous construction issues, on-the-fly; and did for free, what the paid developers said couldn't be done.

Even if we released it in late May, we would still be inside a 6 month window - not bad, considering you will be getting six (6) seperate, historically unique maps with the upcoming release.

In your case, Darth Vader defintely had it right... "Your lack of faith disturbs me"
