It uses the old mod format... I'll change it to the new one (which is much simpler to use).

To install this latest version, just extract the mods folder into you IL2 root directory. When it states, "MODS folder already exists, do you want to replace this?", just say yes...

I extracted it to the MODS folder, but no joy. I never downloaded the earlier version... could that be the problem? Any guesses on resolution?

That's really weird. No, you don't need to have run the earlier version.

Are you sure the file has been extracted to the right location. Check in your IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\MODS folder for a folder called P51D5 No Dorsal Fin. If its not there, then something went wrong when you extracted it.

Now that we've extracted the dorsal fin from the P-51D, has anyone given thought to adding it to the P-47D-27, giving it the apperance of an "N" model?

Before it looked exactly like the D-20 we have in game.

Oh, well that explains it. But now my issue is that when I attach droptanks the droptanks appear to be vibrating rapidly and violently.
