Fairey Barracuda

right... next solutions... easier said than done mate... we know your backbreaking labour, as it takes a lot of time to figure out what to use where... hehe

Is that the Tempest nose? my thought would be to use the tempest nose right up to the windscreen, if you look at the side shot we posted, you'll see why... Wink

take the small intake off the side of the cowling of the 109 and put it onto the tempest radiator, there appears to be some small thing sticking out there... Wink

WHAT AIRCRAFT IS THIS FROM? Barracuda Wink

Just for a look at the tempest engine, it looks a bit too fat from the top, but if you cut off the entire engine from the cockpit forward that would look good in profile... dunno if it would work though...

I'm thinking N1K2-Ja for rudder

Maybe hurricane, but it's a bit shag to be honest...

We need the carosel to input some data...

I'll be back at 12.00 tomorrow (GMT+1)

Then the ideas will flow!

Hey Ranwers,

that you did in 1h, 46 mins ?? What could you do in 3 Hours ?? Confusedhock:

Eventually, you could capture the tail of BF 109 E4 with wings ?

I think, with some expansions you could get the near perfekt tail.

Sounds easier than it is, I know... but looks very difficult to me.

Good Luck, mate !!

LOL?

I think, this plane is so absolute ugly, that makes it totaly nice !!

(I which, some ppl could think the same about the Bloom&Voss BV 141)

Would love to see it in Game.

Any FAA additions welcome here.

With the exception of the Flycatcher and the Swordfish, Fairey seemed to have a talent for building ugly planes. Good luck with this one. Wing fold was a similar arrangement on the Fulmar.

Prettiest thing they ever made was the Fairey Fantome:

Re the keel Ranwers, could you patch it with a section from the underside of the Ju 88? The Ju 88 has a slightly squared-off look and would give a flat underside, as on the Barracuda. If not, maybe a section from the belly of the Mosquito or Buffalo would do?

The Pe3 has twin carburettor inlets like the Barracuda:

Another nose candidate?

The vertical part of the undercarriage leg (and wheel) is very Spitfire-like:
