Solid! Try making the shadow a tiny bit darker, and more disrupted...

Lookin good mate for a first attempt at composites, props nice, as Aaron says, shadow needs disruption and darkening a tad, also, the Spit is too low and gives the impression of a scale missmatch, look at the ground grass etc & its size in comparison to the Spit, if you lifted the Spit toward top of pic that would prolly compensate for it, alternatively leave spit where it is & drop the background so an area of sky/light appears inder the Spit, have the grassed area only occupying a quarter of the pic more or less, then sample top of your background and drag it up to fill the area that may be missing once youve lowered it, finally, a tip for everyone doing composites, lower the opacity of your subject aircraft by between 10 & 20%(depends on backgrounds content) this brings the backgrounds color and lighting through a tad and makes for a much better blend and can in some cases look Photo real when complete.

Hope this doesnt seem to full of critique mate, its not meant to be, just trying to help youur composition Smile

Great first composite, M8! Big Grin

I'm glad you're getting into it. It can be a challenge but it's a LOT of fun!

I think that your comments are hepful and appropriate, Shooter. You've been helping Hawk with how to do props. Obviously you have a working relationship and Hawk wants help with his new venture.

The kind of thing I don't care for is helping the little old lady across the street... only she doesn't want to go, lol! THAT ain't help

You've got THAT right, M8! Big Grin

You know, if you want to do something, look at who does it best and ask THEM! The proof is in the WORK, NOT in the talk.

I know Shooter mostly from his images in the past and I know FROM HIS WORK that he's the best at it. There's never been any question about that. There may be others who THINK they're better image makers but they're kidding themselves. He can blow anyone off the map, if he wants to, as regards making images. ...and THAT's the truth, so there! Big Grin

I hope that he either gets back into making images or at least posts some of his old stuff. THAT will set the standard. The image talks, BS walks :!:

Of course, it can take a LOT of time to make a really great composite, so with the skins and internals and all of that I don't know if he has the time to make those "killler" images or if he even wants to. He never really got the recognition that he SHOULD have gotten for his images in the past so that might have turned him off to doing composites. You know what I mean. The jealous one's were nit picking and nipping at his heals. Yap, yap! Guess we'll just have to wait and see!
