Damage: Smoke Fire Fuel and Contrail Mod *Updated 7/28*

Th!rdeye Wrote:For the last time. The smoke when the plane hits the ground is not going to change. Its because of the half assed way the effects were set up and its NOT GOING TO CHANGE in the forseeable future.

Sorry but if you want good looking smoke in the air you gotta put up with it. If its that bothersome, then don't use this mod anymore. You gotta put up with one bad thing to get a good thing.

And about adding more gray, again, the way the effects are setup if i make the secondary effects too gray, the circles become to outlined and it looks retarded. I will get a screenshot up showing you.

Mangas, i have no idea why you are getting that..... Try a clean reinstall of my mod.

seeing you are quite the guy for effects, how about making a new effect for the cookie bomb?

I would suggest to keep the shockwave of the FAB5000, but substitue the mushroom with the blast of a SC2000kg, that would be a more realistic effect, IMO.

I put a simple Disclaimer up.

Not saying to never edit my mod but to ask first before making changes. I took alot of time to work on this and would just like to have people get my permission before they go on "fixing" my mod.

Is it really that hard to send a simple Private Message?!

Have some respect at least!

I looked at your fix, and all you did was lower the livetime, completely missing the point of longer volumetric smoke.

If you all really cannot stand the low fps when a plane is crashed, then i will edit and tweak this PROPERLY so it works on a lower livetime and doesn't look like crap.

I'll look into eventually.... I have more important things i'm working on now.

People need to respect the conditions of download and use of a mod - the same with ANY thing online.

Magot, please drop the attitude - post deleted.

please thirdeye if possible make the smoke a little bit less deep-dark-or make a "translucent" addition to what it is now because air-mixture with oil leak surely is more trasparent after few second it leave the damage engine: grey was a suggestion to render this effect, if it is not possible to use this table-color I'm sure your genius will find another way to render it more realistic? Could you tell me which smoke you are talking about? The large smoke that comes with the fire, or the smaller one when you hit the oil cooler?

I am trying to make them appear more quickly to be true to the real life effects. FW190's would hide in the large contrails on there way to attack the Forts or Libs.

As for them appear at night, i do not know why it would do that. Did the defualt do that?

The contrails are still very much a WIP. I have been focusing on the black smoke alot trying to get that perfected and out of the way. I will start working on the contrails, trying to get some volumetric effects in there.

I'm talking about the big smoke that come with the fire.. may be possible to make it tranlucent? may be as the oil cooler damage but a little big volumes and dankened -but Not completely black-

i am making it a little lighter but in real life, when planes caught fire and smoked, the smoke was very heavy.
