Vanilla IL-2 1946 4.08m
Downloaded wrapper
Mod ACtivator and the Beaufighter IX
backedup all necessary files
Installed the wrapper.
Then the mod activator
Then the Blenheim
IL-2 1946 loads up with Mod ACtivated splash screen.
Everything is fine except I don't see the Blenheim..
I used JGSME and made sure the Blenheim and STD were active.
Still no joy. Help... please

proper procedure :
1 install mod activator
2 install wrapper
3 install any mod
using apps like JGSME is at your own risk ....

OK I reinstalled IL-2
I followed this procedure a friend used
1. Have a clean(skins, missions, campaigns, markings etc. are ok, but no previous mods) install of IL2 1946 patched to 4.08m
2. Install "PRIMARY MOD ACTIVATOR" from here. This only makes it possible to use mods, it does not include any new sounds or anything else.
3. Install a mods compatible version of the 4.09b1m patch from here. Also install the "switcher" from the same thread but don't use it to switch anything yet.
4. OPTIONAL: Install the "QuickLaunch pack" described in 2nd step in this post. It's not necessary but highly recommended.
Then I downloaded the Beaufighter X installed it used mod switcher to go to 4.08 mods on.
Fire up IL-2 which it does but still no Beaufighter.
Is no one going to develop a one stop program where you don't need to install a bit form here and a bit from there. I'm really trying but I did the method in the second post here and that fubared my IL-2.
you forgot wrapper ...
anyway , soon should be available AAA mega mod pack so you'll have all in one installer

That's good. I'm not sniping at anyone as this site is great and the guys doing this stuff. I'm just frustrated.....I'll wait til the mega mod thing comes out. I'm not going anywhere in a hurry..
