ShipPack2 is out. It replace previous pack so ShipPack1 should be removed before installing ShipPack2.

Just to confirm, to uninstall pack one I should simply remove the folder?

I have created missions with ship pack one. Will pack two 'break' them?

That's correct, just remove old Shippack.

I'm afraid that you will have to edit old mission or rearrange ShipPack to old format. That shouldn't be too hard to do if you have basic knowledge on how to make changes in text files.

Only Chief.ini and Stationary.ini have to be changed .All you have to do is to change ShipPack into Ships in this two files.

BTW I forgot to mention that CVL carriers have two deck options. Standard deck is normal deck with plenty of space for take off. Short deck have lot of space for planes but take off is short and it should be used in combination with Fireball's Wind mod.

To use one or the other you need to copy Hull2 file from deck subfolder into main CVL folder.

are ini files you've provided from 4.08 or 4.09b1m game version ?

edit : got CTD at 70% .... until changed technics.properties to technics_ru.properties its not a biggie though

technics.properties change to technics_ru.properties and you'll be fine

I copy/pasted the contents using the Add To Ini method. I noticed there was this bit in the contents provided:

Ini files are from 408 but they are the same as in 409 so that shouldn't be a problem. BTW I'm using 409 and Ships work.

there are actually two section in the chief.ini that relate to ship pack 1 (at least it was so in my case), these are placed apart and after getting the 70% crash I found out about the second part I forgot to delete.

The install of this monster is quite a show if you ask me (but worth the effort - and you learn a lot about the structure of things when digging around in the inis), only for hardcore file-fiddlers but I can't see any way to make this click-and-go... especially if one has anything else modded into the inis... and I do not recall every change I made over the last half year.

a few people might screw up when trying this.

Looks like you have some other problems too :lol: What's about that bus?

Problem with ships seems to be in chief.ini. What did you do? You tried to use copy/paste method and than tried to change ShipPack entries with Ships like I said to zoo_heathen?

Thank you FC and Archie. Install went flawless. Landed on the SAN JAC and kiss the deck. It is great to be home. Now our squad is getting busy with missions. Thanks for giving us a home. Salute and much appreciated for the hard work.

This is really nice work and will see lots of on-line use .

Its exactly what I would expect of men of FC and Archies callibre ! Smile

Love the new carriers and the Italian Cruisers Big Grin (very good choice of ship to use)

It took me a little bit of fiddling with ini's to get it to go...(its pretty different to Shippack 1 in a few ways)
Winmerge was really vital and it finally wasok after I deleted all of the shippack one entries completely (was thorough) instead of trying to cut corners.
