Notice how we are already speaking about "winning". In competitons there are winners and losers. Why do we need or want that?

We are already talking about designations, like addons to sigs or avatars, which distinguish one member from another instead of all memebers who post images being inherently equal. Is that beneficial?

I think that the bottom line is that there are already two dedicated image sites which offer competitions and various forms of accolades. If someone posting here desires such things then why not simply post images at those sites as well?

I've never been able to grasp the concept of "winning" and "losing" with regard to images. The sports paradigm seems so incongruous with image making. Why create winners and losers when every image can be a "winner" :?: :wink:

I'm just one member expressing my opinions, Leigh. There may be a lot of members who feel differently. No need to stop putting forth your case. In the end, it's Lt. Wolf and Mr. Jolly who will make the call. :wink:

I like the idea. A competition would be a nice addition to the site, however it may be taken more seriously than intended by some members, and could result in massive flame wars...
