Press the "print Screen" button on your keyboard, and the shot is automatically saved as a .tga file in your IL-2 Directory.

There is a mod that makes your screenshots in .jpg format instead, which is what I use. After you have your shot, edit it to your liking, host it on an image hosting site, then paste the [img] tag into the forums here for us to see.

Google 'Fraps', (its a free download), create a folder and direct the install to it, set a 'capture' key and launch the game.

Afterwards convert the images in the folder to .jpeg (I use photoshop but other progs do it as well), upload to photoshop (free again) then copy the link into the forum

The only time I had someone tell me that is if a girl was hitting on me.  Tongue

What is your Hyperlobby name?

And Kristorf, in my honest opinion, extra software for something your computer can already do, will only just take up space. But whatever floats your boat, mate. Tongue And I think you meant upload to PHOTOBUCKET, not photoshop, mate. lol Tongue

Kristorf is right about Fraps - Fraps is an awesome tool - printscreen on your keyboard can only hold one image in your memory buffer but on the other hand Fraps allows you to take as many shots as you like & its free to download - i recomend anyone who is wanting to get a few decent screen shots should use fraps or similar to capture as many screens as you like instead of only be able to capture just one single frame at a time

when taking a screen shot you dont want to be limited to one shot at a time as this can be really time consuming going back & forth between the game & saving the image & it also forces you to get the shot just right first time. However with say fraps you can take as many screen shots as you like in one session & by hitting the screen grab button repeatedly quickly you can capture a whole sequence, afterwards you simply pick out the best shots & then dump the rest you dont like. Its far easier doing this & increases your chances of getting a great shot. You could say having Fraps is like having a motor drive for your camera

There are limitations about the free version of fraps though one of which is that you can only save directly to BMP & the other is you cant save video in the free version. You can always convert your BMPs to JPG with Paint anyway so no biggy

Another little 'tip' with screenshots, if you are planning to take a screen meke a track first then play it back, disabeling the messages etc first. This lets you move the camera around to get the best angle

Fraps is good, I can recommend it.
Another utility I've been using is IL-2 Manager, currently version 5.00.
One of its features is to change the in-game screenshots, by default a tga file, into a jpg file with its own naming structure. This eliminates the chance of accidentally overwriting shots with same name, as often happens with the games default shots: grab001.tga, etc. IL-2 Manager has lots of other handy features, and I can recommend it highly. 8)

Since when? I can hit that button up to as many times as I want and ALL of those images will appear in your my folder. I don't mean to be rude, I'm just saying.... It holds more than one for me.
