B25H Gunflash!!
#1

Hi All;

Why the blinding gunflash in the B25H's cockpit? There is no where the flash could reflect from to make such an extreme blinding flash that I can tell.

well

there still would be a bit of gunflash anyway

would it be from just the gun anyway because it is light and light goes everwhere and then into the cockpit then reflect from there Tongue

No....light goes in ONLY a straight line (in these conditions), any reflection just like balls bouncing off rails on a pool table. The nose guns at best would seem a glow past the nose cone yet have no where to reflect in. The side gunpacks only having the engine cowlings to reflect off of, and then even that just the tiniest bit of the forward radius.

In the end, you'd have no visible flash in the cockpit let alone it blinding out the dash like it does.

I reckon you would, from the .50's at least. And physics would tell you that light does not necessarily travel in only a straight line, but thats beside the point 8)

Well I don't think the gravitational field of a B25 is strong enough to bend light......So that being the case......you wouldn't.

and besides... the B-25H is a H with a J cockpit, its been FREE, it WORKS....

why ask for more? Confusedhock:

There is NO where for it to reflect from and the B25J does NOT have the bright flash.......In fact none but the H do..........So it was added.

C'monnnnnn, I'm the mod noob here!

FYI to all

According to some valid sources, the flash on the 75mm was strong enough to singe the hair off your arm and face if the pilot was adventurous enough to try it in flight.

By the way, there is plenty of actual footage of B25H and G's firing the 75mm at Zenos.

"Winged Artillery" comes to mind.

I'm definitely with Guse on this one. A 75mm (2.95 in. gun) is huge for an aircraft. I have no experience with aircraft mounted versions, but during my tours in the military I can testify that 3 in. guns and 75mm howitzers have a pretty impressive muzzle flash.

If people would read back-posts, they would realise that this is a flaw with the game, not something we were able to deal with at the time... I wouldn't be too surprised to see that it hasn't changed...

It's not the 75mm yet the MG's causing it.....The 75mm nicely done especially with the delay.....In kind the G here having the same gun doesn't flash.

However fair enough!....I can not give a **** as well as the next....YEA muzzle flash, must be real!

Yeah I do agree on the 50's a tad on the bright side. But on the other hand, the H and G's where AI before the added pit.

Oh well...

well

how i see it

yes it may be a bit overpowered BUT the muzzle flash goes out

it goes out and in many directions

the 50 would be bigger that this so it would be brighter and bigger

when it goes in the directions it would everything to light up and put 6 or 8 of them there it would light up

but thats just my 2 cents use them or ill tkae em back Big Grin
