Possible to remove green "padlock enemy" triangle
#1

Just wondered if it would be possible to remove the padlock triangle around the enemy plane. Currently every time I padlock a target it lights up with a great big green triangle, which for movie-making is a nightmare.

Is it possible to actually padlock a plane without having the big triangle show-up?

If not, is it possible to modify the file so that it doesn't show the triangle when a plane is locked?

Finally, is it possible (from the cockpit view only) to padlock a plane when replaying the ntrk file?

Even though I have a key bound, which works during the 'live' flight, when I replay the track, the Padlock doesn't work?

Any ideas or mods possible?

Cheers, MP.

This is a fantastic idea! And not just for movie making either. You can still tell which plane is padlocked without the dumb triangle.

So does this mean that you see pink messerschmitts and stuff like that?

JK, a friend of mine can't play a board game called Axis and Allies with me because he can't tell which pieces are which. To him, red and green are the same color unless you put a bright light over them. Even then, they are different shades of the same color ...

it is, but not directly

1/padlock (triangle appears, useful to know who is padlocked when there are many in sight)

2/use key/button "change icon type", press a few times, and voila, padlock without triangle.

note: this is as i remember it, just cannot test it works right now, hope there's no mistake in my memories.

As it is basically all down to perception - and i've never known any different, it is almost impossible to explain. I'm red-green colourblind as well but i can tell the difference between the two (i think) unless the padlock indicator really is green... If i have a page with patterns of red and green i do get confused, it can almost look 3d-ish, with the colours alternating between jumping out of the page or sinking behind the other.

sorry to have hijacked your thread somewhat

I'm a bit colour deficient to...red-green.

So what about removing the triangle? It would be great!
