Now this is merely an Idea, but wouldnt it be great to switch the different Languages to english with accents a la Team Fortress 2?
I think it would be pretty funny!

I think I have something that you requested. Years back there ware replacement speech packs called "BBQ Speech Pack". Sincve my German is poor, the German voice I use are in English with an accent. Now, my son looks down on me 'cause he happens to be fluent in German as is more of a purest than I am. Its all a matter of taste.

S! Mountain! Long time no chat mate. I would also like to get that speech pack you're talking about. Is it available anywhere? If not, would you be willing to post it somewhere? Thanks mate.

I think that would be great - i guess it is a matter of what you find most authentic. the correct language, or being able to understand what your wingmen say...(and no blue text) Had a look for the bbq speech pack by no luck, there were some posts mentioning it but from around 2002 and the links to the download were dead, is there any chance of contacting the autor and seeing if they want to make it available on the AAA site?

Good to see you. I keep telling myself...."One of these days I'm going to reactivate my on line persona and jump back into IL-2 with both feet". Right now I'm on the fringe flying off line a little DCG stuff with these wonderful AAA Mods.

But.....This weekend I'm participating in the Indiana State IDPA Championships in Indianapolis, IN. If you are not familiar with IDPA its worth a look on YouTube 'cause they have 100's of videos of the subject.

Would love to fly with you again in the virtual skies, Mountain! Not sure if you know this but we're actually part of the same squad now. 609 joined up with AKA a little while back now. Personally, I'm not into FS any more due to being burnt out on the "petty bickering" that could happen way too often for my tastes since it got real big. Once I got caught up in it it stopped being fun for me and that's why I fly, for fun. Anyway, hope to see/fly with you again sometime. I've been trying to get AKA to fly some of the mod maps during squad night but it's been a loosing battle so far, not much interest/response to my ideas on the subject so I try to get my fill offline whenever I can. These mods have really rekindled my love of IL-2 that's for sure.

Okay, sorry for the personal tangent all, now back to topic. Thanks for the link, I'll be checking it out shortly. I like the idea of this as I only speak English, a bit of Mandarin and only a tiny bit of Spanish and Japanese and I hate having to read text while flying so it would be cool to have accented voices portraying the original languages for those inept linguists like myself.
