Here's a strange and awkward glitch since trying the Mossie XVI mod unsuccessfully. The "Escape" key no longer works in game, though the keyboard is fine. I can't therefore stop at the end of a mission and go to the control screen. The only way out is to go to the desktop and shut down IL2 with the task manager, hence losing the result. Have been tearing my remaining hair looking for a way to rebing the Esc key to the normal function. Anyone any ideas please? Incidentally I thought of the act of desperation of removing the whole game and going for a clean install, but it won't deinstall...I keep getting a Windows fatal error with the installer stopping without having removed the programme. Beyond me!

Help would be much appreciated. :?:

VMT. that did it. My wife wants to give you a medal...I have been a touch grumpy recently through trying to sort it.

.... and another thing....... the game is often difficult to uninstall
you can copy the entire Ubisoft folder to anywhere and run it from there....no need to uninstall...just delete
go to Start/Run/regedit/HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE and delete the Ubisoft entry ...it serves no useful purpose
