I was too lazy to lower my gear fully........but with this setting my arrestor hook had more chance to catch a wire :lol:
But how did I get into the water.........?

thats great fred, I love messing about with aircraft carriers. Track IR looks amazing, will have to invest at somepoint, and you system must be quite impressive too.

A challenge I set myself is to land on a carrier, at night in thunder/storm conditions... haven't managed it yet... would love to see a sucessful attempt if anyone has the time :wink:

that's kind of what i thought, seeing as how it was twin engined and created a big enough BOOOOOM to destroy a carrier!

lol, very nice^^ i dont think it was a mistel! the wxplosion of a mistel would have done much more damage to the plane... by the way: what did you do about the water???? its sooo great!! pretty realistic, my water doesnt look like this! oyu must tell my your secret :-P

It wasn't a kamikaze mission or something like that. :oops:
I was testing to land a wildcat, with his gear not fully down, before this testing
I had tried to land a mistel on a carrier.
After editing the mission for the test with the wildcat, I deleted the FW190(mistel)
but forgot to delete the mistel itself (...oops).
So I was little bit surprised hock: when I saw the mistel coming straight at me after landing the
wildcat.
This stupid fault of me was the cause of this video.


My system is:
AMD64X2 5600+,
mem 4GB
Vista 64bits Home premium
Videocard: 280 GTX (but with a 8800GTX you get the same performance)

And this is the proof of the Mistel.


I have done some kamikaze missions, but this was on the Schweine server


water is openGL and in config.ini water=4
