BoB releasing date ....

Whoever has been financing SOW:BOB cannot have deep enough pockets for the game to continue to be in development forever. After several years of being in development and paying expenses and salaries the investors (whoever they are) have to release it to pay the bills. How much could those expenses and salaries add up to be after 3 years of costing money and not making one (RED) cent ? (heheheheh: hey, accidental PUN in that statement Tongue ).

Afraid not. There were no carriers involved in the Battle of Britain.

I know that no carrier was involved
but will the "code" be in the game so someone will be aible to do it

Well RRG Studios is supposedly developing a Korean War Sim to be released as an SOW add-on. Now one would hope that includes Carrier Ops as they were a major part of the War. But who knows....

1C Company has a lot of products out on the shelves bringing in money...products which also certainly required much smaller R&D investment and start-up costs than SOW:BofB. Maddox 1C company Games

Having recovered their Production costs for those other Games/Products, a significant portion of the revenues/profits from continued sales can be used to cover costs of R&D for new products and product lines, including SOW:BofB. It's an aspect of the company's business plan as to when/how to reap profits and disburse same (dividends, etc) versus continued or even expanded investment into R&D.

1C also is frequently establishing new business partnerships with, or acquisitions of, other Game-producing and distributing companies, which generate additional revenues.

In a nutshell, luckily for all of us I think, 1C is not a One Trick Pony.

November 1, 2009 Now that is a release date I can believe and upon which I would place a bet... Oleg and crew need to wrap this baby up and get it on the shelves. One more year of "FOCUS" and they should be able to make this deadline. It's a perfect Goal, business-wise: Pre-Xmas marketing and Sales have the potential for great Success. If they miss the deadline, again, then I would begin to question their basic business acumen.

With regard to "FOCUS", or lack thereof, I am referring to the ever growing list of Images depicting ground objects, weapons(AA,etc), and, of course, European/Continental trains and other Wehrmacht vehicles( I don't recall any Wehrmacht vehicles as having actually made the crossing to England). I mean, the Sim is, initially supposed to be "Battle of Britain", right???

Bottom line: Put the train set aside and apply all resources towards the November 1 deadline for release.

Oleg and team didn't start working soley on SOW until late last year. The publishers IC and Ubisoft have been collecting monies for IL-2, AEP, FB, Pacific Fighters, PE-2, Manchuria, and IL-2 1946 for eight years. So there should be plenty of funds for SOW until atleast the end of 2009. After that they might start putting pressure on the developers. They have had a small core group working on SOW since 2003, but their main priority had been the addons to IL-2. I know I've been waiting for BOB since the first planned release in 2005. I think they delayed full work on SOW until computers were strong enough to handle so many features required to developed a cinematic sim.
