I have tried it at Best Buy store, this is a very simple looking stick, but yet very confy, i mean very comfy. the only flaw is that it doesnt have many programmable buttons
I've been using one for about a year now with no problems at all. It's rather light in weight but seems to be very well made. It even got the best of my border collie after he got tangled in the line. I'll buy another if this one ever breaks.
I had a Cyborg stick from Saitek and was happy with it's function and durability so when I decided to go for a twist rudder, the Avi8or looked like the logical choice.
At first, it seemed to work fine and the rudder was helpful in takeoff and landing after getting the feel for it but in less than six months, the aileron control went very erratic to the point it became unusable.
I am back with the Cyborg unit.
Hey, does anyone know how to hook up 2 joy sticks so I can use the throttle sliders from the Avi8r as rudders???

My son uses the Aviator, Ive used it a few times and over all its a nice stick for the price. The only complaint I have is the location of the throttles seems awkward to me.
I have it. It's not versitile enough to use on a PC. Not enough control wheels or buttons. It would be a disservice to yourself to use it.
I have an Aviator and I think it's pretty good. The two throttle controls have become a little wobbly after one year, but the stick is quite sturdy IMO. I wish it could have had a few more buttons, but it is still a great joystick and not very expensive, too.
The only real problem I've made myself - I tried to spray some lubricant for door hinges (my old Logitech Wingman "died" because its joints grounded to dust), but I only managed to make it very hard to move in the X-Axis and it squeals a lot.
It got many controls for a cheap price, so yes it is good for the price. But the quality sucks. The controls arent really precise, good luck to set your throttle on the exact % you want, and mine just died last weekend after 4 months. Saitek doesn't last. Go for a joystick from CH products if you plan on playing for a long time. It is better to buy a good joystick than buy many cheap ones.
I'm currently looking for a hotas, and the combo fighterstick + pro throttle is the exact same price as a Cougar HOTAS. I really don't know what to choose between them.
I love my Aviator. Its quite nice to have, cheapish, but a good stick.
