i discovered that you dont need the 190-BAR OUT mod to fix the lost canopies.
(this is a bug with only the flat canopy mod right?)

just delete the hier files for fw190 F8/A8/A9(if you have the flat canopy mod). Flat canopy mod hier files will be loaded instead of them.

i hope my bad english didnt ruin my instructions.

i hope it helped at least some of you 8)

i have found an interesting fenomen with the 190F8 the propblades seem to be INSIDE the engine cowling. i would test, if this mod causes it, but i have very little time right now.

i must say I LOVE this mod. it gave the game a whole new look 8)

hope you get all the bugs/defects sorted out soon. i would love to see this mod become an official mod

Hi lollpea.

Maybe I can help you out : I have no other MODs applying to the F-8 installed, appart from the 'bar out' MOD, and I don't have the bug you mentionned, so you can probably rule that one out.

I do believe your problem is due to another MOD, but I have no idea which one's to blame...

Cheers

That's because the FW-190 A series (and all types based the A series, including F and G) all had a cooling fan within the cowling. It turns with the propeller.

Here's a drawing that clearly illustrates the cooling fan inside the cowling (artwork, not a photo; but still very good): Image Link

i think you're right. when i removed all the files about fw190f8 from the propellor mods folder, everything went back to normal. but what's wierd is that even with all modificated files of fw190f8 removed from MODs folder the plane still had the effects of this mod.

maybe i am just stupid but i don't get how can the plane still have the effects of this mod, when i reomved the modified files (fw190f8 only) :?

here's a picture what the problem was:

as you can see the propellor blades are way too far inside the cowling

I see now, sorry that I misunderstood the issue you were having.

As for the issue itself ... wow. I hadn't seen that one before. Does it happen on only the F-8, or does it also appear on other A- model 190's?

Besides the Ki-84's spinner I found something to correct too. The FW-190A9 used in RL a larger diameter (wooden) prop, but in this mod it uses the same as the A8, F8,...

Dunno if this (these, including the Hayate) can be corrected, but it would surely be much appreciated.

This mod gave me a new feeling, especially from the cockpit chasing a bandit! 8)

once extracted i have a folder called "vas_prop3_RELOADED" wich has in it a map called "00_Propellor-Mod-V1.0"
I take it only the map "00_Propellor-Mod-V1.0" has to be put in the MODS folder??

Yes, it is correct... just throw the "00_Propellor-Mod-V1.0" into your MODS Folder.
