Separate release of BF-109F_Kanonenboot BLENHEIM-1F Nacht234
#16

The Blenheim 1F uses the Mk1 FM, so a new buttons file doesn't seem to be needed (works fine here).
It would be really nice to give it that Mk1 cockpit that CharlieChap made, rather than the Pe-2 default one it has now. Not sure if that is out of beta though....

Yes, i find it rediculous that we HAVE TO have UI to get these. Shouldn't it be where you release the mods THEN update the "big package" ?

ridiculous or not .... it is on author to decide

as new AAA UI brings yet another file structure change ( technics.ini>>>> STD) among other things, upgrading to it will soon be required cos all new mods will get tested on UI 1.1 version

@Bee : better safe then sorry  ( how should users know which FM some mod is using ? ...going through 60% CTD first ?)

So can I ask a question m8?

If it seems to be a 'No' for a seperate release for these new planes etc. Does that mean that when more new planes come online we'll have to all download say 1.2 even in a Temp Folder just to get them?

I've had the same install since May of last year with all the new add ons (planes etc) thats come along since and the only real Mod to it that I've done since then was to take out the Presets, Sample Folders for .90 and replace them with SFX 9 because they sound soooooooooo much better.

I don't really fancy downloading (although I can see the benefit of it) of the Installer to play around with it just to get back to the way I like it m8.

When I 1st joined here I had problems installing all the great goodies that we got here, but now I've got really good here as some other folks have of installing things the 'harder' way shall I say.

I still say seperate downloads would be a good idea. Plus it would stop folks having to put 'Mirror' Sites up just to get the new goodies because it would save Bandwith, folks getting stress by saying its 'corrupt' etc.

I'll tell our PM Gordon Brown you know

Correct.

We chose the Pe-2 cockpit because many MkIF had a reflector gunsight, while the Mk.I cockpit (if you mean the same one I got) has an iron gunsight.

Ranwers made a WIP shot of a more proper MkI/MkIF cockpit though...

+1 for seperate downloads....I'd be downloading for a week if I wanted to have the UI....

And if the UI should become necessary for all further mods.....I'ds say you introduce UI updates, instead of 1.1GB-packets, where you have to download the entire thing again when upgradingfrom 1.0 to 1.1....

I also am for separate downloads for every plane...

UI is much too bug for my bandwith !!!

Hope these new planes will come soon in separate packages...

Avoir la foi, c'est être plus sûr d'une chose que la raison ne le permet.

its not a no .... just authors need to submit those mods ... the same as with any other mod ,

i remember time before AAA UI and all those requests for "global" mod pack .... one pack to rule them all .... you really can't please all people

Not everyone are stupid unless you are meant to say that every single of us, especially MrJolly, Hellzone, and all other AAA members are stpuid, and that you hates every single of us?

Confusedhock:

Agreed, we can't alway pleasure everyone 100 percent of time, but as long majority of AAA are happy with Unified Installer v1.1, that is what counts.

It would be really really useful to be able to download all new aircraft as separate installs.

I like many don't have a fast broadband connection. It would take for ever to download the new unified installer and I dont need it because my existing setup is working fine.

I think you have to see the UI as a base install.after that, you can add whichever mod you want to it.
I ate up a considerable portion of my monthly bandwidth allowance trying to install it,with all the corrupted downloads, and came VERY close to giving up.
I was not happy with the idea at first, and am still not really convinced, but it is probably the way forward.
I do think though that new planes should always be offered as a seperate D/L option.

To be honest I download 1.1 to get the new planes and was surpised by the 'cockpit goodies' that came with it 8)

Installed into a temp folder and picked just what I wanted 8) 8)

So thanks for the time and effort to put it together - Only took me an hour or so to download it anyway Big Grin 8) 8)
