I dont understand very well the TB-3 bombsight, i know how to use it but i cant bomb over 3000m and the bombsight limit alt is 5000m. That sort of line that passes across the bombsight doesnt cross anymore the center line of the bombsight above 3000m so i cant make an accurate bombing. Sry if my explanation is a bit confusing but im not English :oops:

I must ask the question:

Why 5000M, with this bombsight you would not hit the side of a barn at 10 M...

on top of that, all your crew would be passed out from Hypoxia and frozen solid...

I would offer this is a mistakeof the game to offer up to 5000M

Of course , i wouldnt do this kind of question if i havent tried yet. I know the images arent from the game when i found this problem (it was on multiplayer heading to enemy base).
But with bomb load or not , right altitude or not , the line disappears and accurate bombing over 3000m isnt accurate anymore, its a ridiculous bug.

I see. What I had in mind was maybe you started at 5.000 meters in a quick mission builder.

It's been a very long time since I flew this bird, but I remember having difficulties trying to climb this giant over 3.000 meters with 4 tonns of bombs.

The line indeed dissapears, but maybe bombsight historically wasn't ment to be used at altitudes higher than 3.000m.

What exactly do you mean? I find this bombsight very accurate... A bit akward to use when you are used to using other sights, but accurate regardless.

Its not so hard to make it reach those alts fully loaded , at least in my opinion. Takes time and engines overheat easily while climbing even with fully open radiators. I think its a wonderful bomber to fly , the only problem is its speed and defensive armament , but it can glide for very long distances and you can return to base with only 1 working engine ( pray to avoid overheating lol ). TB-3 even for its size needs an air speed of 140km/h or even less to fly.
Returning to the issue:
Bidule021 is right about people flying uncovered at those altitudes, maybe the actual limit of its bombsight and crew is 3000m. There should be a MOD that could kill uncovered pilots after a medium to short period of time at those altitudes to be more realistic, but maybe it would be unfair.
Why 5000m if the bombsight cant go over 3000m?
I wanted to ask for a MOD to get the bombsight working at 5000m but for realistic reasons i wont do it.
