BoB releasing date ....

Yes that's true - ahh this brings back memories of my first crappy joystick Smile

However I very much doubt that the average 'soccer mum' would go and lash out $100 - $300 on a joystick/throttle. Now I realise that this is purely guesswork - my my intuition tells me that they would buy a really cheap stick for their kid as an entry level stick. Once the kid starts to take a real keen interest in the flightsim his/her folks then might decide that it might be time to upgrade the stick.

Or at least, that's how the theory goes.

I'd not hold breath on it, I am willing to bet you the more realistic release date would be between 2010 to 2012. The reason of this is because it took Oleg team 4 years to develop IL-2 and it only have been 2 years for BOB SOW now. 2 Years is too short for Oleg developer team, therefore is why I am willing to bring my theory of release date between 2010 to 2012.

I think there is still a chance for an SOW release by the end of this year. The game engine is basicly done except for tweaking and the game features are over 60% done. The Korean addon crew is helping with modeling aircraft and ships. A game this complex can easily slip into 2010. I doubt very much that it will slip into 2011 as they won't have the funding to go that far. They will have to release the game with a feature or two missing to fund further work on the project.

Those features can easily be added in future paid or free addons if the game sells well enough to fund further work. If it doesn't the series dies after BOB.
