Ok, maybe this from wiki: 'The G-14, appearing in mid-1944, was basically a late-war Bf 109 G-6 with .... Armour weight was increased to 200 lb (91 kg). Take-off weight was 7986 lb'
That result I'm not sure about, though, it's obviously missing something in the ... part.

A totally different point: armour is successfully removed and I already got shot down a few times by defensive gunners of B-24s before I had a ramming chance.

I don't know much about htis 109. Was it actually used as a ramming plane?
I know the tactic was used, but thought it was more of a 'in the moment' kind of thing, rather than an actual tactic, which they actually designed a plane for? Interesting... 8)

My guess is that it really was just a hasty field mod, after all if you decide to use your aircraft for ramming what use is the armour and weaponry on it and afterall its not really that much of a difficulty to remove it.
