Few screenshots of this fine plane. Unedited, just resize from 1280x1024 to 1000x800 because of Photobucket.

Hello Avala,

Beautiful screen shots! I haven't downloaded the Magister just yet, but these certainly make it all the more enticing. I am amazed by the quality of your landscape detail in the first two and in the last screen shot. Would you mind telling me how you get your trees to look so detailed? Which textures are required? What are the graphics settings and hardware specifications that can make this happen?

Thank you for sharing your images,

RB

Thank you for making it. Last weekend was "magister days" for me. Very enjoyable to fly. I think that you can put some more pollys in future planes. Doesn't seem to affect FPS at all. Sorry, did a little planeshinizing of the plane without asking, but that's just little more pronounced shadows and it's for "home use".

I love too that morning over England moments Big Grin

For terrain and trees, its forest=3 in conf.ini settings. Map with those nice trees is Canons beta Chanel with Compans texture (comes with the UI 1.1). The rest maps are the Slot and Slovenia.

I use these mods which affects overall look:

You must click on that Gapa application and then when in game hit F5 button to enable it and F6 to disable it. It tends to be overbright in some moments (mornings in example) but I like it.

I have Asus Nvidia 9600 graphic card (EN9600GT Silent), and using Xtreme-G 177.92 XP driver. Which can be found here:

This is settings for video card that I use:

Thank you, Avala, for sharing this information. I will start with forest=3 in conf.ini and see what that looks like. Then, I will try the other suggestions you made. I am just a bit concerned that my hardware will have problems handling this. My computer is a bit older already.

I'll let you know how it went.

Thanks again,

Hello Avala,

Forest=3 already makes an improvement. I downloaded a folder named "Avala Terrain lighting" from thelink you provided. It ultimatley contains two files ClougShadow and LandLight. Where do I need to place these files? Or do I just pu the entire folder in the Mods folder?

Thanks for your advice,

RB

Yes. Put "Avala Terrain lighting" in the MODS. But with the extracting be careful, that you don’t have folder in folder with the same name. Winrar and winzip tends to do that when extracting. Folder that you putting in the MODS should go like this “Avala Terrain lighting\maps\_Tex”.

You will need the rest of it, because that “Avala Terain” is there just because Gapa application makes land too bright, this makes land darker, so combination of that two is good.

And don’t forget the Flushy’s clouds Big Grin

Hi Avala,

Your screen setting is great. I modified mine according to your setting and I really enjoy it. I am just wondering what smoke mod you are using? You don't use the Holygrail&Potenz smokemod as this requires effects=1..... So what is your configuration regarding smoke in game?

Cheers,

Eckhart

Actualy compilation of several smoke mods, but the basis is this one:

(The link is inoperative)

There is also some parts of HG and Potenz mod too, but not all. I am reluctant to give up those heavy damage smoke of Flushmeister's. Draw back is that I still have that heavy smoke blob on ground, but will fix it some day.

Avala,

why are there so many trees on those screenshots? I have the Canon map and I have like 5 trees near bases, not forests like you have. Am I missing some additional tree MOD or something? Are those trees part of the Compans textures or base Canon map?

Thanks.
