I HAVE seen it for my self. Yes. This year she didnt fly (at least on the Saturday - dont know about Friday or Sunday).

She's there along side a Yak-3, I-16, and I-153 all flying.

Dragging up an old topic I know but has anyone given the La9 any more thought? The Korea map is working well, we have the F86 in progress the Sea Fury on its way, the Mig 15 and the Meteor, the La9 would make a great addition Big Grin

I think it's hilarious when people say that La-X's are "noob" planes. I way work on this if noone else will.

No such thing. Anyone who knows how to handle their own can take down the so-called 'noob' planes, and if they honestly can't even do that, there's nothing stopping them from taking it up themselves.

Sorry if that came off as rude, but as someone who flies the Spitfire Mk.IX almost exclusively, I'm sick to death of (mainly 109) pilots constantly on the moan about how it can out-turn them or out-speed them. A good pilot never blames his plane - or the enemy's.

As for the La-9, I'd like to see it ingame; in any case, it's hardly a 'noob' plane when there are Sabres on the loose to wipe the floor with it.

Tesla please pm or email me and I will gladly source whatever information I can find for you. If it meant seeing the La9 in game I would gladly help. Flying an La9 in NK or Chinese colours over the new Korea map would be fantastic, especially fighing against RN Sea-Furys and of course US Corsairs, F9F's, Mustangs and the beautiful F86

Re: "the noob plane" comment, whatever

Fly your aircraft to its strengths and against your opponents weaknesses, and ensure an advantage in surprise or height before engaging in combat.

All people knows Johnnie Johnson (Spitfire), Mc Campbell (Hellcat) or Kozhedub (La) were noobs....
Sabre was a noob plane as well. It was easier to fly than MiG-15

Is anyone working on a MOD for the La-11?
I recently came across a Russian pilot interview who flew it in Korea and China (see Spray and Pray topics). There's talk of fighting against Nationalist Chinese Mustangs and B-25s, USAF B-26s, B-29s and others.
We have a Korea map and other MOD planes for that war so why not this plane?
