[BETA] Fairey Swordfish Mk I
#91

I have AC installer 3.8, I have the UI 1.1, and I have added all the lines of code but for some reason it is still crashing at 60%, does anyone have any idea what might be causing this?

Followed your instructions and it works perfectly. The Swordfish even works in the FMB!! I was even able to land it on a carrier successfully on the first try.

This is a great addition to the game ... Thank You Very Much!!!! Big Grin

yes a 60% is either a TYPO on any .ini file, (check twice your edits to those files)
Or you have the Swordfish folder in teh wrong place. It should be in the Mods folder.

Had same problem, went nuts checking and it was an extra "/" on my air.ini...

Well,
What a wonderful aircraft to fly.
It can take a lot of punishment as well.
Really interesting load out.
I hope skinners will be skinning this baby soon.

What a great job  :o Big Grin

Absolutely beautifil model - thank you very much Diavoli! A couple of minor details - live torpedoes should have a red warhead, and are you going to add rockets as part of the armament?

This work is stunning! Confusedhock:

Noticed a couple of oddities.

You can "deploy" flaps, even though there are none on a Swordfish, and no visual modeling of them.

The aircraft has level stabilzer. Don't think the Stringbag had auto pilot.

I'm assuming these are beta artifacts, but I thought I should pass along the info.

Those parachute flares are amazing. Night ops suddenly become a whole new affair. 8)

Out of curiosity, if one were to make a skins folder for this, what is the correct name for it?

AmselJ Wrote:Hello,
first I will thanks for this mod. It's for me more important than MIG15 or SABRE. Grat job and great plane. Now I can make more mission over Atlantic.
I finde just one problem. When I start from carrier the wings are not folding.

Whan I turn off Carrier_Takeoff the IL-2 crashed after 100%.

AmselJ

Probably this is due to carrier's takeoff mod. With Illustrious (default) all works perfect with folding wings.

When everything other is OK, then try load the last AC installer ver. 3.8 from page 1 of the thread and run it freshly. It helped to me. Working buttons file is 847 kB of 8.6.2009, 13:32

Laziness is the mother of progress. My QMB missions can be found here:

It should be... I had a problem as well after installing the Swordfish. Copied all the entries in the air.ini and properties files, dropped the Swordfish folder in the MODS folder, but was getting a crash at 5% loading. I then realised I had downloaded but not yet installed AC 3.8  The AC 3.8 I had was a couple days old, taken from another thread, and installing it fixed everything.

Cheers
