Not to mention the Lockheed Hudson?
My Grandfather flew missions over Rubal in RNZAF Hudsons and other RNZAF sqn's operated the Ventura with him and others, these would be savoured by the New Zealand online community (The Flying Kiwis Squadron for a start) that are very active and many of our Pilots have a rich family history that we bring online and can only wait and hope for such an aircraft.
Two thumbs up for sure :drinking:

I have no idea how to make such things possible but if anyone out there is up with it on such matters it would not be a wasted effort Big Grin

Hudson. 320 (Dutch) squadron RAF flew many years in that aircraft. I would love to see it, and it's big brother the Ventura. To bad I'm not a modder, so I can't do it, but I hope somebody will find the time and spirit to do so.

Cheers,

Wasn't a Hudson involved in one of the very first air clashes between the RAF and the Luftwaffe?

AFAIK Hudsons were used only overseas - Far East and such.

But i might be mistaken.

I'm pretty sure Hudsons were used on intruder operations around the Norwegian coast by the RAF. I seem to remember reading about 109Ts based on the island of Helgoland shooting them down on a regular basis.

Hudson was a very prolific aircraft. It and its family the Ventura and the Harpoon were built in the thousands total, and were on active service in most theatres.
It was a very important little aircraft, and one that usually does not get it's just nods as it is in the company of the big girls like the FW200, the Liberator, the Sunderland, the Mossie, the Beau and the Ju88.
If they were modelled I'd have those gals flying all over the IL2 world!
