Include basic FM info for new plane MODS
#1

As someone who benefits from the modding community's labor without contributing myself, first let me say thanks to all. You brought new life to what was already the best flight sim on the planet.

I would like to kindly make one request to bolster the tremendous contributions of those who build new planes. When new planes are released for download, I would like to see some basic statistics included in the first post. For instance, the same data you would find in the "View Objects" section of the game or the type of numbers found in Hardball's Aircraft Viewer.

I know this would give me a better idea of exactly what I have downloaded. I constantly rely on Hardball's Aircraft Viewer to compare the different planes available and decide which one to fly depending on the situation and opponent. A simple addition to the first post of each new plane thread could serve as valuable up-to-date reference material not found elsewhere.

By the way, here is the type of info included in Hardball's Aircraft Viewer that I would like to see added to the first post for new plane downloads.
  • Plane Name:
    Type:
    Country:
    Year:

    Power (HP):

Thoughts on standardized reference info for new planes?

Thanks for your consideration!

I'm now including an IL-2 Compare graph with each of my new slot aircraft, does that also suffice?

Maybe we can get Hardball to put the info into an update of his "Aircraft viewer"?

As Z-towne pirate stated, thanks to all the modders for their great wwork. They have truly made this a must own flight sim. My question is this, How does one add the mod aircraft to IL-2 Comparer? Ihave seen this done on a few post was wondering how exactly is it done? is it something that can be easily done by some one not skilled? Thanks for all the info.
