[DOWNLOAD] Missions for Cannons new Channel Map - update!
#1

This is for anyone who wants to try and fly a mission over Canons new Channel map.

I am now working on a RAF Battle of Britain campaign for the 1940-41 version of the map, and below you can find a link where you can download one mission from that campaign:

UPDATE! And here is another one:

http://www.speedyshare.com/180658863.html

The first mission is a typical furball sort of dogfight, based on action that took place on August 8 as a big air battle raged over and around convoy "Peewit" as it steamed through the Channel towards the northeast. During this, Jaf

Hi

Had a bit of trouble with this map, but it's working now. Your mission worked smoothly with lite actors.static, then went the whole hog with full actors.static and it worked beautifully. Hope this helps.

Looking forwand to many new campaigns on this map.

It ran flawlessly, very smooth, even during furballs! I look forward to future missions.
Would you consider making a complete set of quick missions for all four maps?

Quote:Actually, my conclusion is that you are showing off

..yes ur not all wrong *DZR*Chimanov  sry for that, or at least i'm not complaining about my rig but i think this topic can be usefull cose the canonuk maps are new and popular to campaign/missions makers like Poltava, and when there is hardly nobody who can play the new campaigns when using too much planes than it would be a waist of time and dedication of these campaign builders, i can asure you that its time consuming to make a good mission/campaign,

...so i still urge everybody to state at least the processor and vidcard of their pc , next to the fact that the maps should already be playing and opening on ur pc cose the paratroopers bug means gamers cann't open the maps in the first place [..correct me when i'm wrong]

good luck and have fun on ur new rig m8

I just installed the new Spitfire pack from SAS and swapped your Spit1 for the Spit1b because the Mk.1 has a bug on landing where it rears up and often overshoots the runway.

Very fun! Not so much as a burb from my rig. Dual Core, 2.4 E6600 Processors, 1GB Nvidea 9800GT, AND 3 GB's of RAMM.
One thing, though. When I was taking off, I noticed that the ground around me was very low res. Just green with no detail. Is this right, or did I screw up the map iinstall and leave something out. It was beautiful once I was flying. I'll bet I left some airfield download out!

Pooch!

No, you haven't screwed up. The groundat that airfield IS annoyingly low-res. I'm considering using one of the more high-res airfields instead. After I sorted out the mess that my own tinkering with the config.ini did to my own computer. (viewtopic.php?t=19820)

Right now my IL-2 and the whole PC is more or less knocked out...

Ah...thanks a lot. Thought I'd messed something up, since I'm very good at that! Thanks for the mission. Maybe some late war missions, too, so we can see that 44/45 map. Keep up the good work.
