[request]Shadows on aircraft?
#1

I've been thinking and I've wondered if it was possible to edit Il-2 graphics and make the aircraft cast shadows on themselves.
Like FSX. Any ideas on how to make it possible?

The game already has shadows. Try looking in your conf file under [Render_OpenGL] or
[Render_DirectX] ( depending on which one your using) and find the Shadows setting and change it to 2. Don't forget to make a backup before changing anything.

I think he means not the aircraft casting a shadow on the ground but the fuselage casting a shadow on the wing.

exactly what Conolev said. I think that Il-2 would look more realistic with that kind of shading.

Oh... Yeah that would look nice.
