409m..................lol
#1

Hmmm, 409b1m Vs 409m.............. no comparison imho.

409m
been in the pipeline nearly 3 years and we now have
a couple of maps,
a couple of new planes ( some we cant fly......YET lol).
and a couple of fm changes.
Ohh, dont forget, support ends with this for il2.

409b1m-mod.
Been worked on nearly 2 years,
15 or so NEW planes all flyable,
20 or so new maps,
many new objects,
many graphical additions,
many more sound additions/major improvements,
new abilities( moving df mod etc),
Friendlier community
Continued support and improvements.
And CK is not even out yet, another MAJOR addition.

AAA mod community for the win, thanks to ALL the people past and present for the work that has been and will be done around here.

I don't disagree with the 2nd part of what you said but I do with the 1st part.
Oleg stopped work on the patch 3 years ago to work on SOW/BOB and about 6 months ago Team Daidalus convinced Oleg to let them continue where he let off.
As for the new aircraft that we can't fly, they are working on cockpits for some of the aircraft for a future patch (but I'm hopping AAA guys might do this for all a bit quicker Big Grin )
Also support for IL2 will not end, they are all ready working on 4.10 or it might be 5.00 with all stuff there planing on.

PS TD are looking at changing / fixing stuff that's all ready ingame but you have to document what's wrong not just say FW190 FM is wrong

I'm half way to agreeing with you, but I think that since 4.09 is the first Daidalos patch, it's not really fair to make comparisons yet. Now that they've got past the teething problems of how to organise their team and how to organise a release, I'm sure they'll be making a lot more progress. I'm definitely looking forward to dual throttle control and AI triggers, and while I'm not particularly interested in the radar stuff, I know that there are plenty of people who are. I guess this patch is as much a proof-of-concept as an actual release, really. I hope they stick to improving the things that most modders can't do just yet, like it seems they're aiming to do with 4.10/5.0.

Saburo, don't you think you're being a little petty here? Team Daidalos have done a very professional job IMO. Remember they took on the 409 patch fairly recently in order to complete the work Oleg started. AFAIK, they are quite a small team so it's not really fair to compare the content of 409 with UI 1.1, which combines the work of a great deal more people.

4.09b1m was a BETA.
4.09m is FINAL version of the SAME PATCH!

not going to argue with the OP- All I can say is we can finally move on from 4.08..to....switching to 4.09 and back for those that didnt want to use the beta.
now we can all agree on 4.09 official.

FabianFred's picture sums up my opinion quite well. Any new content added to this sim is good news, and we should be celebrating, not knitpicking or trying to compare AAA and Daidalos. There may not be a lot (relatively speaking of course) of new planes in their patch, but they have a freaking SM.79. Any new opportunity to shoot at Italians (virtual ones of course) is a blessing from the heavens Big Grin Big Grin

A rivederci ragazzi ! takatakatakatakataka Big Grin

gents, please do not get into bashing or poo-pooing the patch, it took a great deal of work. It is also released for free for the benefit of the community. It seems a poor show to start saying "well, what we did was better!" as the circumstances and what the separate things aimed to achieve are quite different. If you have bug reports / installation issues, please by all means post and we'll see if we can help; if all you want to do is say they could have done more -- well, such opinions are best kept to your self really.

Annoying the annoying, so you don't have to.

Team "D" deserves kudos for putting forth the effort and time in this great project. We can now move forward with a completed sim, no more need for a switcher and with the additional great mods from AAA we have the best WWII sim the world has seen.

We thank you!

i am not saying daidalos have done a bad job, and i hope they do make some more.

not really, especially as ,( if you had read interviews with oleg) this was given away to someone else over 2.5 years ago for completion, and this point was re-enforced a year later when he also said that il2 support from him was ended after the 3rd party had finished the final patch.
So, excuse me for being a ......tad unexcited at what i have seen in this loooooooooooong awaited 409 finalisation.
