I was looking for a way to download or access the default skins.

I've checked the SFS files but they aren't in there.

Aren't the default skins located in a folder called ''SKINMOD'', thats in the MODS folder.. And otherwise, only with downloaden planes, you can find them in the following map. For example the F-84:

C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\IL-2 1946\MODS\F84_Thunderjet\3do\plane\F84G\summer

And then you can find some tga's called skin1o, skin1p.

How you find the original(ingame) default skins, I have no idea :???:

i never thought to look there, but these folders are empty. I'm looking for the default skins themselves, its not my desire to change the default. I need the default so i can better design a custom skin for it.
