If you use stuff from other modding sites, (and there are quite a few now) then you have made the issue of compatibility even more of a problem.

Thats OK and I agree as long as it is 'stuff from other modding sites'.
Patch 4.09m final is official by 1C and therefore should be dealt accordingly.
In that aspect TD is no 'other modding site', but the provider of the official last patchlevel of the game.

And be sure, I prefer to use mods given from one hand, in this case AAA Team!

U.I. 1.2 is an addon for the U.I. 1.1 (not 1.1.1). Therefore, yes, you have to install U.I. 1.1 over 4.08m and later, the 1.2 addon. All information is here. Read to Monguse.

I'm afraid that we are not communicating, or I am a bit slow/stupid.

I have 4.09bm installed, plus UI 1.1 and then a patch bringing it to UI 1.1.1. I also have the Version Switcher which I set for 4.09b Are you saying that I will have to toss out this installation, and go find 4.08, install that over the 1946 DVD, and then the UI 1.1, and the 1.2 on that? Am I the only one still confused?

Well, I don't know you, so I can't answer if you are or not stupid, but U.I. 1.1 is installed over 4.08m, not over 4.09b. Later you have installed the U.I. 1.1, you can enable 4.09b through the switcher, but it's installed over clean 4.08.

Installation Instructions:
1. Double left click the file 'AAA_Community_Installer_ver_1_1_part01.exe'
NOTE: You only need to run/install the first part (part01) as long as you keep all the files together you can ignore all the other parts
2. Once opened Left-Click on the Browse button and Select your IL-2 1946 4.08m game folder. Selecting OK and Left-Click the Install button.
3. When prompted to overwrite files select Yes to all

Excused. I'm still wating for the jury on the answer though. Sems to me I installed UI 1.1 over 4.09bm and it worked fine. (I do understand that UI 1.1 included 4.09b so that one could use 4.08 as the baseline)...

I'll just wait to see what 1.2 says when it is released.

This will install over 4.08 or 4.09b1. If your going to install and play on a checkruntime server then i suguest you delete the files and mods folder from ui 1.0 which are located C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946

Seems you did at least ask about installing over 409.

I bet you'll be ok to just update what you have now to 1.2(just a guess,I know nothing,I see nothing!)
