Thanks wingflyr- will try tonight and let you know how I get on. Gotta say, the vehicles that are working are spectacular- love the new jeeps & Blitz radio truck.

(Any chance of the Sd.Kfz.251? :wink: )

Now you've start to fill this domain left apart by modders (except very few ones) we can at least begin to populate our airfields with vehicles at the same level than modded buildings.
All the game reached such level now, that was a pitty vehicles remained quite unchanged from the beginning.

Many thanks for your update wingflyr, could you eliminate the antenna wires in German Blitz radio truck?, it is very
good in stationary state but it is unrealistic when it moves in car columns with antenna wires folded up to the ground! maybe
make two different 3d models!

Dont know how easy this would be, so feel free to shoot me down in flames, but could you make one of the Blitz radio trucks as a 'stationary object' with all the radio anntenae deployed, and a 'vehicle' with the extra wires removed for transit. As Ive said, I love the way it looks, but I can see where stuka_40 is coming from.

Either way, its a massive improvement on the original! Big Grin

Yes I will do that, I just for some reason thought it was only stationary.I did not notice it moves in columns.

I seem to have a "see through" version of the opel blitz trucks. Does anyone else have this? Is it a reaction with another mod?

Sigh.........

No joy with the Blitz's- still stubbornly remaining white. Its funny, because when Im taxing in, they seem to be dark, but as I approach them, they suddenly 'jump' up white- I imagine its when the game switches to the larger sized skin. Have no idea what is causing this- all the other vehicles and tanks work perfectly, and I havent any other vehicle skin mods. :???: :roll:

I would like to use this great mod but I just do not understand how to use the fix. Unzip into the MODS folder? And what should I delete then? Sorry if this is a dumb question ...

I just renamed the OpelBlitz6700A_radio folder to OpelBlitz6700A_radio1 and added the following lines to my static.ini:

This leaves the old texture and mesh to be used on the moving vehicle (not as I nice but no big antenna) and adds the new mesh and texture to my objects list as a new vehicle. As a matter of fact I just added them all to my static.ini. I just pulled all the folders out of the wingflyr original that were for other tectures and renamed them and added them to my static.ini. Now I have a bunch a vehicles in my object list that can be placed as individual objects. I have multiple Opel fuel and cargo trucks with different textures populating my airfields.

Here is what I added to my static.ini, you will ned to create the appropriate folders and place the correct files in them for this to work.

NOTE: I also have the vehicles occasionnaly become invisible except for their shadows and passengers they never disappear.

If you use large groups of vehicles the those parts disappering problems occurr, due to the fact that the game engine can only handle so much; that is why the human characters are low detail. However on that note, Im still experimenting with the process of improving the look of the characters.Takes time thou, which I only have so much of for this, I hope you understand.
