If Redko can spend so many hours working on this beauty and not be sick to death of looking at it, then that must certainly be testimony of just how excellent this map will be!

I'm alive...but my hand not it's a hell to paint all with the hands in fmb..............but it's for the just cause :wink:

So...before final release, here some pics you allready know but this time each one located on the Kyushu map. Th purpose is to help you to discover this "new" map and all its diversity. Goblin here you can see the places to check ! Of course you fly where you want but those selected hotspots are representatives of the final job

I don't know how to say it but..I have one big problem with your maps... :evil:
The landscapes look so realistic that the planes are a bit cartoonish now. I think you have to choose: or making textures with less quality or...redoing all the planes and every object with the same high standard as your maps.
Just kidding. :wink: Those screenies look marvelous, I still like to fly over your version of Okinawa, so can't wait for the release of this one.

Kyushu will be better than Okinawa, at least V1 I mean. What's funny is that during a flight i'm many time auto-surprised ! I think i know the place just because i was painting it for 2 hours in fmb and...surpise, everytime you fly on the place it looks different, it depend by which side you came.

It's a strange feeling to realise that it's always another story...or you have to fly it 10 times to say ok here i know the stuff. Of course in dog fight it's gonna be great = you loose your self into landscape, the effect is outstanding on mountain/volcano regions.

Even with a beta map Goblin will need a entire week of fly to just start to feel familiar to the map.

That new .exe makes adding objects as easy as missionbuilders FMB !! You can even use save as command which was impossible earlier. Now you cand rename the saved file immediately!

december 28 update

Thanks for the feedback ,)...i hope to release it soon too.

Here a new video showing the south of the map, with contrast between plains and moutains areas...I'm working to make desapear repetition on plains textures which is a real hell compared to the ease to making nice mountains !!

When i first saw some screenshots from your work, i finally decided it was time to upgrade my 5 years old PC (i mean it, really) so i could make my awaited video about the Korean war. Now, with Kyushu almost out for download, which can fake Korea terrain very well, i'm looking forward to this map, so i can start with my production. I have done a lot of historical research, and the great quality of your work it just adds the final touch...it's really inspiring.

One of the reasons i'm making so detailed maps is the will to see one day talented movie makers doing some nice movies like hero/jafaem style, and all other guys. I'm planing to make my own videos with these maps as i concieve them in a photorealistic style. I make my map for after makin pics, fake black and white ones for exemple...and movies ! It's more than a game for me. I'm really interrested on all the technical and artistical things that mods can bring to this sim

I agree with you, this Kyushu map looks very close to Korea in terms of colours and landscape....so i'm planing to take some Korea maps for repaint, starting with the so nice MIG ALLEY from the so talented Agracier.

Many people here told me they would interrested on a photorealistic map of Korea and it's a good idea because there is a good potential with that kind of maps. I don't know in how many time will have your new rig but is not impossible that a new repainted Korean map will be released fall january, maybe 2 if i have the time to tackle the second Agracier's map of the region

Beeing beta-Tester for Redko is really a hard employ: is very difficult (if not impossible) to find any bug(s) or even a single not adeguate use of texture in any locations. He has really put into this work not only his natural talent but even a big amount of pacience, professional attitude and attention to cover even the more little detal.. so far +10 for me: great map! and i'm honored to be one of the 1st few to fly into it. 8)
