Yes it will affect your in game performances, i had same problem and when i installed a Creative X-Fi Xtreme card the game stop lagging everytime i had message or lot of surrounding sounds
The external card has its own controller and don't use less mainboard ressources.
Same for onboard video cards

I would have said the same thing. I have Creative Audigy SE2 with hack to make it X-Fi Xtreme. Works a charm, except you have to put a cooler on that chip :lol:

Yes.

The sound rate in your IL-2 Hardware Setup should be at 22, 050 hz, not 44,100 hz. Lowering sound hz will both reduce demand on performance and actually sound better. This is especially noticable in single and dual core PCs.
