Ah....VH! After rereading this, I see it was U.S. Grants Mutang that had all of those rivets. That wasn't yours. So let me very humbly apologize, because yours is beautiful.
The Mustang has been in need of a better Aluminum finish forever. I'm so glad it's finally being fixed.

I once did this silver B25, about three yrs back or so...



It's not easy to do it very effective as it only works well in perfect mode at certain angles,
at least that's my experience. I have used reflections from photos as well but not to my
satisfaction since they're static and sit in the same place no matter how you roll and pitch.
Maybe I'm just not wizzard enough though... :mrgreen:
I should give it another try again, maybe.

I dont know if that was aimed for me but I dont have any rivets on the wings, im aware of the fact they were Flushed

You'r job looks fantastic !!!
I'm in a hurry to see it finished.

The wing was completely puttied, except the armament and fuel fillers' panels and on the underside the wing tank panels which retains even the riveting.
It was the case for B, C, D and K models (wonder about the H). I'm not sure for early version Mustang MkI, Ia and P-51, P-5A and A-36 Apache. That should be checked.
So indeed, you should also remove panel lines except those mentionned above.
It may looks a little bit "bizarre" but it will be 100% realistic.
PS : the paint used on wings was less shiny as the rest of the cell left in NMF.

Also, if you want to "weather" a little bit your wings, you may take in account that the wings received a coat of Yellow Zinc Chromate primer before the steel shade paint.
