great mod idea

or at least in my opinion it is. is there or would people like a mod that makes ships when under attack start to weave and take evasive action?

It wouldn't accomplish much.

It would accomplish a lot, but no one has worked out how to do it yet.

Any decent dive bomber, skip bomber, level bomber, or torpedo bomber can hit a turning ship.

The operative word here is 'decent'. I for one will come clean and admit that I am not a decent pilot ... ha ha

But seriously though, it would, like so many other mods, also increase the feeling of immersion and reproduce, however clumsily, an additional level of simulation.

So, this sounds good if it could be done.

I can usually get a mimic kinda move with the ships by timing their turns with the time the first planes arrive overhead in mission builder, it would make things way easier if their was a mod for this, I know there is a mod that somewhat does this for tanks and land vehicles...............

It is a fact that in reality ships took evasive action when subject to attack.
At present this is not modelled in the game. The ships have no AI guidance.
It would add greatly to the realism and immersion of the sim if this could be added in.

Your view that "Any decent dive bomber, skip bomber, level bomber, or torpedo bomber can hit a turning ship." is not borne out by fact. In reality if there were enough experienced attackers then a few are likely to get through, but the chance of any specific attacker being successful is somewhat less than 100%.

Very true just read about the sinking of the Z-Fleet how many planes attacked those two ships, and how many actually hit.

I thought of this when using the L-5 arty spotter against ships.
