Looking at the object list in FMB (for decorating PTO airfields), I notice a lack of miscellaneous types like:
palm tree logs, piled up areas of broken motor parts, tall scraggly trees.
Are these objects moddable?
There is a lot more than that missing for the PTO!
There are so many gaps that the PTO in IL2 1946 is just one big compromise.
I have to agree on this, however you must remember when 1c Max did the Pacific Fighters
they rushed through it so they could collect more money, and then PF maps where so.
let say left wanting. Even today with the modmaps for the Pacific the modders just put
things in there with out really studing what the Pacific Islands are like.
Take the Philippine Map, True it is a good map, however when asked about the important
air fields that where were left off like Clark Air Field and the important air field in Cebu and Lapu-Lapu
and the trees which should be coconut trees. The answer was I didn't make it to be Historical.
To me that is an insult to us who live in the Philippines and to the Brave men and women who died in
the battles for the Philippines Islands. I believe if a map modder is going to do a Pacific Island they
should remember that the trees in the Pacific are not like in Europe or USA, instead are mostly
coconut and plam trees. That most air fields in the early days of ww2 were mostly grass or dirt.
As for the other objects I agree we could use more for air bases.
Now that you mention it, there are hardly any, if any at all, objects for any theater that represent garbage or junk or debris or things that are broken or unusable.
The suggestion for heaps of broken motor parts would make for a great series of objects, not only for airfields, but also for industrial sites or factories ...
Hey, Revi 01.
Go through the objects list in FMB and start destroying objects. I've found some of them can be used creatively for junk and "filler".
