My game is patched up to 4.09 (many thanks to Skyomish for tolerating my newbosity, however it isnt over yet sadly)

As for Hsfx 4 i got part 1 and 2 as .exe files, put them in my 1946 folder and everything.

Clicking part one i begin the download, doublechecking the pathway, all is well.

The download continues flawlessly, THEN it finishes and says i need to insert Floppy #3 and wont continue unless i do.

I tried pointing it at part 2 but that does nothing, HELP!

Also, some of the HSFX 4 versions were in some unreadable W0# format, what is that?

Have you downloaded all the part, or have you downloaded it as a torrent?

It was not a torrent either. what are those .W02/3/4 things signifying tho?

First you need both PARTS in a temp folder and click on the first part
to start the install.
Insure the Game path is correct when install starts.
It almost sounds like you have a bad down load here also.
utorrent is a way of downloading. Get it here:

Before you start redownloading.
Please try BOTH parts in the same folder and start the install by double
clicking the first part and see what happens.

I have uTorrent, the links on the 242 page yield me nothing however.

And as for the W02 W03 W04 files, i cannot open them for some reason, something about their format.

For all of these things i have only followed links from this site or 242squadron.

Someone still has yet to explain these .W0# files tho? i cannot find a program to extract them, it says that the designation means its a temp, which is ok, but i still cant

They are automatically extracted.
You make sure they are not corrupt.

Well download uTorrent and download HSFX via Torrent if your waiting time is long and your files are corrupt as it is quicker and your files wont be corrupt

Everything is in Russian and the game doesnt stay up for 30 seconds.

What wrong have i done now?

The installation seems to be wrong, you do a clean install.
You check the patches and files are correct and are well.
